End of 2012 and Commencement of 2013

I am writing this in the middle of the night of end of 2012. The sky is full of fireworks' sound. I enjoy it. It shows optimism of every person in the world that each of us wants to close this year well and ready for the new year.

Before writing this post, I read a book titled: Habibie&Ainun. It is not a secret that Habibie, our former President of Republic of Indonesia loved his wife very much. It has been shown many times in the media. We have read it also in the newspapers and magazines. It is very interesting to read the book and understand more and better the thoughts of Habibie on his deceased wife.

Everything starts small. In Habibie's life, it is not an exception. They started from zero and climbed to the top, until became the President. He is a very smart and hard working person. He has endured many pains while he was in Germany. He learned continuously and became a role model of each of us as Indonesian citizen. We have to be proud of him and try to model him so that we can too achieve memorable and significant achievements in our life.

I have not finished reading the book but I will finish it. It is easy to read. It it touching and it encourages me to be a better person. Hard work, persistence, love of family, love of country, and belief in God are Habibie's values. We just have to follow him to achieve great things just like he has done. He is the hero of our country and everyone should know about him. Anyway, he was the Minister, Vice President and President of our beloved country.

Now, the year of 2012 has ended. 2012 comes. I believe that we have many goals that we want to reach in 2012 and in 2013 onward in our life. We may not reach all of our goals. However, we may not lose hope. We have to be optimistic and persistent to reach our goals. Trust that we are able to do that. Just like Ron White's memorable inspiration that he has received, "Hang in there, you are almost there". We have to believe that we will reach our goals. But, to reach them, we have to work hard, optimistic, and have faith.

Habibie's life has inspired me to learn more and more, especially in my education in law. I want to keep on studying (that what I love). To do that, I have to manage my time well so that I will have the time to study and learn more. Just like Brian Tracy said, "to earn more, you have to learn more". I truly believe that statement. And that is one of my resolutions for 2013, to continue my study to a higher degree 🙂

All the best for all of us in 2013. May God bless us and keep us always!
